Christine Reeh-Peters is junior professor for Theory and practice of artistic research in digital media at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam. Diploma in Film direction at the Lisbon Film School – Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. M.A. and PhD in Philosophy of Art and Aesthetics at the FLUL - Faculdade de Letras of the University of Lisbon. Her dissertation "The solaristic system" designs an ontology of film. Head of two international conferences for philosophy and film at the ZKM - Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe “The Real of Reality” (2016) and at the University of Lisbon “Thinking Reality and Time through Film” (2014). Co-editor of the eponymous anthologies at Cambridge Scholars Publishing (2017) and Brill/Rodopi (in preparation). Reeh-Peters is also the author / director of 10 artistic documentaries and producer of around 20 films (www.crim-productions.com). As a filmmaker, she questions the relationship between the film image and the borders of reality as well as common film formats.
