Lauren O’Neal is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, arts administrator, and educator who explores the intersection between visual and performing arts, especially within curatorial contexts. O’Neal is senior lecturer at Boston University and an instructor at the University of the Arts Helsinki. Previous affiliations: Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Lamont Gallery, Phillips Exeter Academy, and the Massachusetts College of Art & Design. Exhibitions and performances: Portland Museum of Art, Purdue University, Mobius, the Theater Academy (Helsinki), and performing in the works of Trisha Brown, Heidi Latsky, and Lundahl + Seitl. Grants and residencies: Somerville Arts Council, Vermont Studio Center, and Arts Letters & Numbers. Conferences: the College Art Association, the Nordic Forum for Dance Research, and EARN (European Artistic Research Network). O’Neal received a DFA from the University of the Arts Helsinki, an MFA from Maine College of Art, and an Ed.M. from Harvard University.
